Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 May 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website bastionsoft.com and its subdomains (the "Website"), operated by Bastionsoft, UAB ("Bastion", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in Republic of Lithuania under company number 307761630, with registered address at Č. Sugiharos g. 2-30, LT-05115 Vilnius.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Scope of these Terms

These Terms cover your use of the Website only — the marketing site, documentation pages, contact forms and related content.

They do not govern your use of our software. The Bastion prompt-injection protection model, SDK, packages and microservice are made available under separate terms:

  • Open-source components (e.g. our GitHub repository and PyPI package) are licensed under the licence stated in the relevant repository or package. That licence governs your use of those components.
  • Commercial offerings (e.g. the private microservice or enterprise deployment) are governed by a separate commercial agreement between you and us.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a software licence or commercial agreement, the latter prevails for that software.

2. Use of the Website

You may use the Website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, damage or disrupt the Website, its servers, or any connected systems or networks;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Website without our prior written consent, or breach any security or authentication measures;
  • introduce malware or any other malicious or harmful code;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the Website except as expressly permitted (for example, by a public, documented API);
  • misuse the contact forms (for example, to send spam, unsolicited marketing, or unlawful, infringing or misleading content);
  • use the Website to develop a competing product or to benchmark it for misleading public claims.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website at any time if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Intellectual property

The Website and its content — including text, graphics, logos, the "Bastion" name and branding, layout and design — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the Website without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Rights in our software are addressed by the applicable software licence or commercial agreement, not by these Terms.

4. Documentation and third-party platforms

The Website links to and references third-party platforms, including GitHub, PyPI, Hugging Face and our documentation site. Your use of those platforms is subject to their terms and privacy policies, not ours. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party sites or services.

5. Performance claims, benchmarks and accuracy

The Website describes benchmark results, accuracy figures (such as detection rates and AUC scores) and other performance characteristics of our software. These are provided for general informational purposes and reflect results obtained under specific, published test conditions as of the dates stated.

  • Benchmark and accuracy results are not guarantees of performance in your environment. Actual performance depends on your configuration, data, integration, threat landscape and other factors.
  • Security is probabilistic: no product, including ours, can detect or prevent all prompt-injection attacks, jailbreaks or data-exfiltration attempts. You remain responsible for your own security architecture, testing, monitoring and compliance.
  • Statements about regulatory frameworks (for example, GDPR or the EU AI Act) describe how our software may support your compliance efforts. They are not legal advice and do not guarantee that your use of any product makes you compliant.

6. No warranty for the Website

The Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it is complete or current.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Website; and
  • our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Website and these Terms is limited to 1 000 EUR.

This Section 7 governs the Website only. Liability relating to our software is addressed in the applicable software licence or commercial agreement.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful or improper use of the Website.

9. Privacy and cookies

Our use of personal data and cookies is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms by reference.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed, and changes take effect when posted on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Lithuania have exclusive jurisdiction, except that, where you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.

12. General

  • If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it.
  • These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any applicable software licence or commercial agreement) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Website.
